|Client||University of Dundee|
|Principal Contractor||Sir Robert McAlpine|
|Consulting Engineer||Wallace Whittle & Partners|
McGill was appointed the electrical contractor on the new build construction of the Translational Medical Research Centre and Clinical Research Centre for the University of Dundee at Ninewells Hospital.
As both buildings are research centres with laboratories and offices and large rooftop plant spaces, they are heavily serviced which led to detailed co-ordination of the M&E Services with the building structure.
McGill are proud of the quality of installation work carried out by their skilled operatives and it was pleasing for the client and principle contractor to comment on the high standard of workmanship achieved on both projects.
We put the high standard of installation work down to our commitment to continuous training and use of our quality assurance system through each stage of the project.
A key element of any large scale electrical installation project is the testing, commissioning and certification as the time scale to carry out these works is always challenging. With our unique systematic approach to this critical element of the works we consider that we are better placed than any of our competitors in this area of expertise.
I would personally look to ensure that McGill are present on all of my tender lists on future Projects, and would look forward to employing them again.
Martin Young, Project Manager, Sir Robert McAlpine
