|Client||Dundee City Coucil|
|Project Duration||22 Weeks|
This contract involved the installation of controlled entry systems including steel security doors to enable the client to meet the requirements of the Scottish Quality Housing Standard. The contract covered 22 Blocks totalling 140 properties.
This work was carried out as a partnership contract with McGill having a major input on the original design and specification, including installing GSM units within each block to allow the systems to be managed remotely from area housing offices within the city. This included ongoing training and support for council staff.
The works covered various sizes of blocks including installing systems in both tenanted and owner occupier properties. Additional works were carried out where there were elderly or disabled tenants, including additional flashing beacons, vibrating pads for under pillows and access ramps and grab rails.
The door entry equipment is manufactured by GDX Technologies utilising their GDX5 lite range.
