Client Perth & Kinross Council
Contract Value £8.8m
Project Duration 5 Years
Principal Contractor Sidey

McGill replaced 7,500 kitchens over 5 years, delivering 45 kitchens per week as a sub-contractor to Sidey as part of a Partnering Contract with Perth and Kinross Council.

Work commenced on this Partnering Contract in July 2005 with McGill providing all plumbing and electrical work.  From an early stage the contract was identified as being a very fast track operation, having to deliver 45 completed kitchens per week without compromising on quality, to allow Perth & Kinross Council to achieve it’s objectives in renewing kitchens throughout the area by the Autumn of 2010.

McGill have been instrumental in the entire Project team achieving it’s goals and in assisting Sidey and Perth & Kinross Council in achieving their objectives under the Partnership Agreement.  This has included significant value engineering and dealing with changes in legislation throughout the contract period.

McGill’s Operations Director for the project, Martin Hay, sits on the Project Board and is involved heavily with the project Partnering process.

The project was completed on time and on budget and Tenants Satisfaction results were excellent.
