A Silver Medal for McGill at the 1st Stage Apprentice of the Year Awards

First year Apprentice, Ryan Milne, has won the Silver Medal at the SECCT 1st Stage Apprentice of the Year Awards, held at the Original Hotel, Roslin on Monday 26 September.

After winning his heat in Dundee in May, Ryan went on to win the North of Scotland Round held at Angus College in June allowing him to progress to the final in September.

Martin Hay, Operations Director said, "We are delighted with Ryan's achievement. This is the third year in a row that we have had an apprentice win a silver medal at the final stage and shows the high calibre of apprentices that we are producing."

Sean Petrie won a silver medal for 2nd Stage Apprentice of the Year in 2010 and Bradley Rhynd won a silver medal for 1st Stage Apprentice of the Year in 2009.
