McGill Starts Building New Homes

McGill Homes started work on their first venture into new build housing on the site at Cotton Road, Dundee.

McGill are building five units consisting of four semi-detached and one detached house on the site of a former nursery school. The houses are all three bedroom with ensuite in the master bedroom, open plan living in the lounge and dining room with a modern kitchen and bathroom.

The houses have been designed by local Architect Ken Duncan from KDM Architects. Millard Consulting were appointed to provide structural and civil engineering services and Hardies Construction Consultants are our CDM Consultants.

Keeping it local, we appointed Dundee Plant Company Limited for the groundworks and Scotframe Timber Engineering will supply the timber kits.

Thorntons property are marketing the houses for sale and we have already received a note of interest for one of the plots.

We are actively looking to secure other sites in Dundee to play our part in meeting the demand for new build housing in the area and creating employment opportunities.

Juliet McGill is the Director responsible for Homes and Grant Thomson has been appointed Project Manager for the project which is due for completion in September 2017.
