McGill staff praised by Dundee City Council on completion of refurbishment contract
McGill staff were praised by Dundee City Council for their “remarkable success” and “absolute professionalism” during a heating, kitchen and bathroom refurbishment contract at Strathmore St/Balmossie, Dundee.
The contract ran from August 2014 and finished in April 2015.
The works to 124 properties included heating, kitchen and bathroom replacements, where almost half of the tenants required an electric to gas fuel switch and almost half were over 65 or had a disability. The work was carried out in a mixture of properties including flats, terraced houses and small cottages.
Reflecting on the glowing reports from Tenant Satisfaction, Billy Simpson Project Officer for Dundee City Council said:
This was a contract run with absolute professionalism, where the clients were always the first priority and your team responded magnificently to whatever challenge was placed before you.
Some of the comments from tenants included:
Men were very helpful; the work was complete before 10 days; Kept me well informed and did a great and quick job; Cannot fault the works from start to finish
Nigel Coxon, Operations Manager (Residential) said:
