McGill sponsors Easthall Park Summer Trip
McGill have provided £500 funding to the Easthall Summer School club.
Easthall Park Housing Co-operative supports a summer school club, delivered in partnership with Easthall residents association, providing a wide range of activities for local children.
Last year McGill installed new door entry systems and new steel doors to a number of properties for Easthall Park Housing Co-operative. They also have more maintenance work planned for this year.
Easthall Park said it appreciates the willingness of its contractors to support the summer club as it’s an important service as the club is highly valued by local residents and the young people enjoy the activities particularly the day trips which tend to have an educational focus.
McGill sponsored a trip for the children to visit Summerlee, the Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge. Over 30 children visited the museum and experienced a great day.
Andy Gilbert of Easthall Residents Association, who manages the Easthall summer school club said:
We would like to thank McGill for its generosity, both its support and that of Easthall Park Housing Co-operative is greatly appreciated, as without this, it wouldn’t be possible to operate the summer programme of activities and deliver fantastic away days for our children.
McGill pride themselves in being a local business and were happy to contribute to this community programme. The children in the community are the future, therefore it is very important to invest in their education and teach them about the history of the area.
