McGill Joins Trade Association Promoting Insulation Excellence
McGill are pleased to announce membership of the National Insulation Association (NIA) which represents the insulation industry in the UK. Its members include manufacturers, system designers and installers of insulation solutions for homes and businesses.
McGill have been undertaking external and internal insulation works since September 2013 and have a growing customer base. Gary Brogan, Insulation Manager, commented:
We are delighted to join the NIA - it is a well-known fact that the public perceive a business to be more trustworthy and reliable if it belongs to an established trade body. Not only can they be confident that we provide a top quality service, they are safe in the knowledge that we are a reputable company backed by the insulation industry’s leading trade association.
As members of the NIA we abide by their strict Code of Professional Practice, giving consumers the reassurance that they are receiving the best possible advice and service and that work will be carried out professionally and to the highest standards.
With almost half of all homes in the UK lacking adequate insulation, potentially losing around 60% of their heat through uninsulated walls and loft space alone, the NIA is keen to raise awareness of the huge savings householders can make by simply improving their home insulation. By simply installing cavity wall and loft insulation, a saving of up to £320* per year can be made. The savings are even greater for insulating solid walls and lofts up to £655** per year!
NIA members can provide free home insulation surveys and advise of the most appropriate methods of insulation for homes and businesses and also give advice on any grants that are available. Contact McGill today on 01382 833833, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book an appointment.

*Based on adding cavity wall insulation (CWI) (saving around £140 per year) and loft insulation (LI) of 270mm (saving around £180 per year). Saving based on an uninsulated three bed semi-detached gas heated house. If a property has 50mm of loft insulation then a combined saving for CWI and LI would then be around £185 per year. Figures from the Energy Saving Trust.
** Estimated savings if an uninsulated home installed Solid Wall Insulation (SWI) (saving of around £475) and Loft Insulation (LI) (saving around £180) to the recommended depth of 270mm - based on a three bedroom gas heated semi-detached house. If a property has 50mm of loft insulation then a combined saving for SWI and LI would then be around £510 per year. Figures from the Energy Saving Trust.
