FREE Boiler Replacements now available through the Energy Companies Obligation
McGill are now able to offer free boiler replacements to households meeting certain criteria as part of the Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) launched by the Government to tackle fuel poverty in the UK.
This scheme is funded by the utility companies and the aim is to deliver free or subsidised heating and insulation to low income homes that are owner occupied or privately rented.
The scheme is available to individuals who are homeowners, living in private, rented accommodation and are on certain benefits, or to landlords whose tenants are on those benefits.
Nick McGill, Operations Director Small Contracts, commented: “This scheme is a fantastic opportunity for low income households to receive a new, energy efficient boiler that will lower their annual fuel bills for years to come. As long as the boiler is classified as old, faulty or inefficient and the residents meet the benefit criteria then they are eligible for a free installation.”
