The McGill Group will deliver a reactive maintenance contract from Oak Tree Housing Association, valued at approximately £4million over the next three-five years.

Oaktree Housing Association is based in Greenock, and currently owns and manages more than 1700 properties throughout the Inverclyde area. The organisation also provides services for around 1000 homeowners, such as repair and maintenance of common areas.

Prior to its acquisition by McGill, the McDougall Group had already won a one-year contract with Oaktree Housing Association, after Coronavirus left their previous provider unable to support them. With this initial contract now at an end, McDougall took the opportunity to tender for the association’s three-year repairs and maintenance contract, which they are delighted to have been awarded. With McDougall’s acquisition by McGill complete, the contract will be delivered by The McGill Group.

The contract, which is set to run until 2024, with the possibility of it being extended for a further two years, is valued at around £800,000 per year, and will see The McGill Group provide reactive repairs and maintenance in properties throughout the Inverclyde area. With more than 150 skilled and qualified tradespeople across the group’s divisions, The McGill Group is well placed to deliver this work.

David Kennedy, Operations Director Central, said of the contract award, “Working with Oaktree Housing Association has given us the chance to form an excellent partnership with them over the last year. The McDougall Group was really pleased to gain them as a new customer in 2020, and even more delighted now that we’ve secured another three years of working alongside them. That’s a testament to the great work of our teams on the ground. As part of the newly-formed McGill Group, we’re now even more equipped to deliver this contract, as a Scotland-wide contractor offering a range of services which few of our competitors can match.”
