The McDougall Group has been awarded a contract by Rural Stirling Housing Association to provide emergency out of hours cover to properties across Stirlingshire.
The contract is a continuation of the relationship between The McDougall Group and the housing association. The facilities management contractor has worked with Rural Stirling Housing Association since 2013, and this emergency out of hours contract is set to last until 2026.
The contract award comes just weeks after The McDougall Group was acquired by McGill, an all-trades refurbishment and fit out specialist contractor headquartered in Dundee. The contract will be carried out under the name of The McGill Group, as the acquisition process comes to completion.
David Robbie, Systems Director at McGill says of the award, “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract from one of our long-term valued clients, Rural Stirling Housing Association, who we have worked with for six years already. The timing is perfect as we have so recently joined forces with McGill. The acquisition gives our customers access to a broader range of services, across a much wider geographical area too.”
McGill Commercial Director Douglas Smith MRICS commented, “The McGill Group has completed two acquisitions in as many months, and we’re now one of the strongest contractors operating in Scotland. Not only are we attracting new customers with the range and quality of our work, across our four divisions we are also able to offer a wider range of services to existing clients such as Rural Stirling Housing Association. We are headquartered in Dundee, but with a network of bases across Scotland, we have more than 200 employees serving customers right across the country; our size and scale makes it easy to deliver for customers, even in the most rural areas. We look forward to getting to know Rural Stirling Housing Association better as the work gets underway.”
