A new Plant Room was required to be installed in an existing vacant building and connecting Services required from the new to the existing Plant Room with a view to reducing the time period that the Police Station would be without heating during the Summer.

Also as part of the Contract were works within the Lost and Found property department, Locker Room, Garage and Cell Block associated with the installation of Frenger Systems Atrium and PCP Steel Frengerwarm Radiant Panels.  The heating to the Garage consisted of gas fired AmbiRad heaters.

As Principal Contractor our scope of works included all builders work: removing and replacing suspended ceiling grids and tiles, painting and decorating, joinery work and extensive trenching between the new and existing Plant Room.

After the new Plant Room was fully operational we then decommissioned the existing Plant Room and stripped out the existing boilers, pumps, distribution pipework, flue header and associated Controls.

Our works also included the installation of a new building energy management system to control the plant and equipment in the new boiler house and the field devices to control the radiant panel heaters in the cell block, locker room and lost and found areas of the building.
