McGill was appointed by Robertson Construction Group to carry out the electrical installation to the six primary schools under the Dundee Schools PPP Programme.

Under Phase 1 of the project McGill was involved in the delivery of four Schools, all running concurrently and under Phase 2 the remaining two Schools, again running concurrently. This placed great demand on staff and operatives due to the financial penalties should completion not be achieved on the due date.

Through the great efforts of everyone involved, all six completion dates were achieved and this success has resulted in a close working relationship between McGill and Robertson Construction Group, culminating in the award of the £750k M&E Services Package for new build student accommodation at Perth College.

During construction of the Phase 1 Schools, McGill had in excess of 80 operatives spread across the four sites to meet the demands of the programme.

McGill was also responsible for the entire electrical installation from the source of supply from Scottish & Southern Energy to final sub-circuit wiring. Further, McGill installed all security systems, consisting of internal and external CCTV, intruder alarm system, structured cabling system etc.
