McGill were awarded the Mechanical & Electrical work packages by Stewart Milne
Construction for the strip out and renewal of the M&E Services to Level 1 and Level 4 of the Kydd Building for the University of Abertay.
The works were a continuation of the University’s commitment to complete refurbishment of the existing Kydd Building to create the first ever UK Centre of Excellence in Computer Games Education.
McGill had already successfully completed a £600k M&E package in a 12 week period for Level 2, during the summer of 2009. This larger project, requiring us to deliver a £1.3m M&E package in only an 8 week period was even more challenging. The successful delivery of this project is testament to the commitment of all staff and operatives involved.
McGill extend their appreciation to the support given by their supply chain partners in achieving completion on time and in budget.
The excellent relationship developed with the principal contractor and the client has resulted in further work being secured on Campus.
Furthermore, Harley Haddow’s Technical Director, Jim Kellachan, has recommended us for other projects as a result of our proactive approach and ability to deliver.
